Following some very excellent and constructive advices from several people of the community, we are today opening an irc channel that is dedicated to the merger affair.

The purpose of this channel is not to suppleate the Ezboard threads that have been opened and neither to become the local popular ranting place. It is more aiming at providing Imperials, from both side of the barrier to get to meet each other and discuss about their ideas, their vision of the game, of the Empire and on what to do to achieve the mergance in the best civilized atmosphere as possible.

Admins will not interfere into the discussion there unless specificely asked by people to. They will however intervene to avoid degradation of the atmosphere if it turns too much in an insult war.

People that attend the channel often and participate to the conversation will be granted channel operator status so they can monitor the channel when admins are not there. There is no question however to use operator status as a way to censor the other side\\\'s ideas. Please respect the spirit in which the operator status is given to you.

This channel is there to help the crisis to resolve, not to make it gain in violence. Please treat the other users as you would like them to treat you. This is all OOC and only OOC. We all have to gain from civilized talks. Nobody has anything to gain from insults

Representants from other groups are welcome to participate as long as they follow the rules of the channel. Keep in mind however that the channel is mainly focussed toward Galactic Empire and Dark Empire members.

On a note for practical purposes, most of the Dark Empire high commanders reside in the CET (continental european time) timezone, that is GMT +1 (US East coast is GMT-5 FYI). Some, including Count Uebles will make their possible to attend the chat as soon as this evening 11pm CET.
